A good suspension set would be Tokico, or better set with Bilsteins, or Teins, or decent set with KYBs. Some others can chime in with the springs.

It all depends how low you want to go and what your budget is. If you don't want to spend a whole lot of money, go with a nice spring setup. H&R Sport is a great spring, that is pretty low. On the other side of the spectrum, the Tein H-Tech rides almost better than stock, but it is a minimal drop. (I have them) If you plan on spending some good money on your suspension, coilovers are the way to go. I am soon switching to Tein SS coilovers so I can adjust the ride height annd damper to what I want.

I purchased my 2002 TL from an auto auction, and had replaced the stock suspension (which had 45K miles on it) with Koni Adjustable Sports and H&R Sports. Rear I have the firmness about 1 full turn from full soft and the fronts I have reversed with 1 full turn from full firm. Spare tire taken out as well.

Ride is quite comfortable and under control. Will need to invest in a thicker rear bar.

The Tein SS had adjustable damper, so you can choose how it rides. The Tein basic just has ride height adjustablilty, but Ive heard it rides pretty good. My H-Tech springs are a little soft for my taste, but the ride can't be beat. (still swapping out for Tein SS) The S-Tech spring is cheap, low, and from what I've heard, a good all around spring.
