Recently I was visited by the money hungry sharkin tow truck industry here in tampa. The guy was put the wheel locks or whatever it was on my car (2002 TL). He did not tell he was working for the tow company, and there was no tow truck in sight, so I thought he was jackin my car. So I jumped in and rode out throwing the shark out of the way. I did not get far because of whatever they put on my tires. Ever since that night my car hasnt rode the same I know I have 2 busted motor mounts but am wondering if I can get the smoothness of my ride back by fixing suspension. The ride feel shifty when i take corners it shifts in horizontal direction. What are struts and what is the difference between shocks and springs?

 

springs bounce, shocks/struts dampen the bounce. without shocks or struts (or with bad ones), your car would bounce for a long time after hitting a bump in the road- which means TERRIBLE handling and predictability.
