Shocks/Struts

What type of shocks and struts do you guys have? My stock ones finally went out so I'm looking around to price aftermarket ones since the guy at Acura quoted me over $700 Are Tokico struts good? I saw some on eBay for not too much. Any help would be great!

Yeah, get Tokico blues. You can get them on ebay for around $300 and are much better than stock. The dealer will probably charge you around $400 to install though. So you might want to got to some aftermarket shop.

Do you mean Springs? I have the Tokico Illuminas w/ Comptech installed and no problem so far. Tokico's are cheaper than the Koni's. A little over $400 for complete set of shocks.

I run Koni Yellows with Ground control coilovers. No problems so far and it's been over 2 years.

How low do you wanna go? And do you have a system in the trunk? A lot of people on this board like H&R or Eibach springs. H&R have a range in drop (OE springs = 1" or sport springs = 1.75"). Eibach has the 1 drop (1.5-1.75" depending on settling). I think those measurements are about accurate (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
Comptech has rebranded Eibach springs.

Shocks vary -- I know a few people with H&R sport springs with Tokico Blues and it works for them. There are the Illuminas (adjustable) in case you want more flexibility.

I'm gonna go Tein High.Tech springs with Koni Yellow shocks. I don't have a system and I don't wanna go too low. The Yellows are overkill (ie I'm not going to adjust them much) but their reputation is good. Spend a little for a little piece of mind.

Good luck on your search.

Thanks for the answers I think I am going to go with the Tein Springs and the Illuminas...the Yellows are just way too up there for me unless I can find a way to install them myself
