I have 91,000 on my 2000 TL. Since shock absorber deterioration is insidious, I'm not sure I need new ones or not. The chassis seems to dampen properly on both the up and downstroke and I can't really detect any issues. However, it seems to me that approaching 100,000 miles, a person would routinely replace shocks.
I plan to keep the car for 2 or 3 more years and I rack up about 9,000 miles a year on it. What brand of shocks have you guys tried with good results?

 

leave it alone for now- if it gets rolling like a boat- new shocks
