Repairing bent rims???
My friend has a set of rims he willing to sell to me for a pretty good price. The catch is that 2 of the rims are bent. I do not know how bad, but he said they are still driveable. How difficult would it be to have them repaired back to new?

Depends on how badly bent the rims are ... you have to wonder about the overall integrity of the metal now that it has been deformed (via potholes, or whatever). Maybe ask around locally to see how much it will cost to repair the rims so they are true (ie round). After the techs look at it ... they may tell you if they are non-repairable and you're better off buying a new rim.
Cost ... it all depends on how much work the techs have to do to make them round again.

fixed mine aluminum slightly bent rim for $80 each rim at local rim repair shop. Mine had several slightly bents on the rim. The price included remove tire, fix bents, polish lip, remount, and balance. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the input everyone. I ended up getting the wheels and put them on yesterday. Went for a nice lil drive and to be honest I can't feel anything that would signify that 2 of em are bent. But I'll have them looked at tomorrow when I get this bad boy dropped!!!
