question about rim offset....need a quick answer

question about rim offset....need a quick answer

im looking to get a set of 18x7.5 with +42 off set would i experience any problems with this set up on a 02 tls? i would search but need answer asap to make a deal

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be THE SAME
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 26mm


Meaning, it will stick out 26mm more than the stock wheels. You might get some rubbing.

good call pure. I agree. Wait till you find the right rims for you with the right offset.

whats a good off set for a 7.5 inch tire? is that around 45 and for a 8 inch tire? thanks guys...

just wondering, how did you get 26mm? did you subtract the stock offset from the aftermarket rims offset?

i think its because its an inch different in width so that ads up to be roughly 1 inch = 2.54 cm so its roughly 26mm.
