Is this possible.

I have a friend that goes to the same university as I do. He drived a 2003 Honda Accord coupe. He has one of the nicest drops on it I have ever seen. So today I asked him what kind of coilovers hes running. And he goes, "Dude dont laugh. Im running knock off coilover sleeves on stock accord struts. He says the sleeves were knockoffs he got on ebay for 50 bucks. I asked him how is struts havent blown yet and he says hes been on stock struts with 110k miles on them with the sleeves on for 20k miles and all are still good condition. I didnt even know it was possible to put just a sleeve coilover on stock struts. Can you? Is he pulling my leg? He has it dropped 3.5 inches in the front and 2.5 in the rear.

any coilover sleeve paired with oem stock struts is definitely not gonna give you the best ride. sure it'll get the job done (drop), but the ride quality is blah. pairing sleeves with a good set of struts is a better option, but if thats the case, you might as well get a full coilover system, with springs and shocks paired for each other already, and for a price thats not really so much more.

IMO anyways.

... or go air ride :p
