P245/45/17 on a 99 tl

Will i have a problem if I put P245/45/17 on my 99 tl that has stock 16 inch rims with p205/60/16 tires. my concern is if they may be too wide and/or have rubbing going on. also how much will the ride be affected?

Do you have 17 inch wheels to put them on and it shouldn't be a problem unless your lowered it might rub a little

Should be ok, unless ya got a radical rim offset or lowered suspension.

What is the Offset and width of the rim. That is the important info we need to know. Ive got 255/35/18s on with only the rear fenders rolled and will be going to a 275 over the winter.

If you're running 17" wheels with the stock +55 offset and stock 6.5" width (well, stock for 2G TL-S wheels) you should be fine. If you're not upgrading your suspension, the ride will be just a tad bit firmer by virtue of having a sidewall that's .5" narrower (per http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator) than that of your stock 205/60-16s.

I ran 235/45-17s (Pirelli PZero Neros) on my stock TL-S wheels and a mild drop - H&R Sports - and there were a few millimeters of space between the tire and fender. Never had ANY rubbing problems.

245 is too wide for the 6'5" rim
