Ordered Koni SP3's... question

OK, Excelerate has shipped my Koni SP3's and I had a question while I wait on FedEx:

Should I take the time/money to upgrade all the bumpstops, hats, seats, etc. on the OEM struts before slapping the SP3's on?

Or are these OEM (90k miles) parts fine for now?

The konis come with new bump stops (they are like plastic caps, they increase travel).

We do suggest getting upgraded upper hat bushings if you want more responsiveness. But it is not needed. The hats and bushings are not really wear items. The main reason to replace them is for convenience.

Just keep in mind that the konis have larger diameter shafts than stock so if you get new bushings like the ITR or TLS ones, you need to drill them out a bit.

Yes they will fit. The dust boots need to be drilled slightly. I would get new top rubber bushings

The stock bushings work fine as the shocks come with new metal collars to insrert into them. I personally don't think new ones are necessary but would get TLS bushings If I were to replace them.

Yes.

Delete the top flanged washer, and the black lower washer, the stock bushings and the collars, then install these. No top washer needed just tighten the nut down!

Sweet. I may have to order some. My bushings are shot causing the shocks to make a little noise.
