My dad's 02 TL type s needs all the shocks replaced on it and he doesn't want to lower it or go super sporty, I'm still learning about suspension so I'm not sure what he should get.
My questions are; firstly what would be the closest OEM shock, second do I have to replace the springs if I were to get a tokico blue for example, and third is there any sort of drop that is associated with the shocks or is it just the springs that do that.

Sorry for such newb questions but I'm still learning when it comes to suspension.

 

KYB GR-2 are closest to stock. Maybe even better than OEM, and cheaper.

No need to replace springs, if they're in good condition.

Springs are for drop. Shocks won't drop (unless it's the Koni's that have adjustable perches.)

 

cool, are there any vendors here that carry them i check excelerate and heel toe, neither do

 

Tire rack does. Im not sure any of our vendors do. You can try contacting one like Excelerate and see though.

 

Not sure if they're a vendor anymore, but I got it from AJUSA. Good pricing, you can order over the phone.
