Lightbulb Neuspeed Strut Tower Bar

HELP!! : i just recently bought a Neuspeed Strut Tower bar off someone in the forum. He said it was for '99-'01 TL. But when i try to fit it in, it doesnt fit correctly. the hole for the bolt is like .5 of an inch short. But i havent taken out the stock strut bar yet. is this why it doesnt fit correctly or is it not for my car which is a '99.

++ how do you remove the stock strut bar?? there is like 2 metal black thumb tack looking things that connects the strut bar the metal frame of the car. I have no idea how to remove that.

I need all the info that i can get. Thanks guys!

Try raising the car up in the front end, dont raise it up on the sides, but directly in the middle, there is a frame support right underneath the front end, raise it high enough so both front wheels are slightly off the ground or whenever you can fit the strut bar into the bolts, you might have to push the strut bar a little to have it fit (first bolt on one side (dont tighten them), and push from the other side where the bolts are not on yet).

You do not remove the stock bar to install the Neuspeed. You definitely need to the raise both front wheels off the ground. I had to use a rubber mallet to tap mine on.

There is no difference in the 99-03. You install the neuspeed with teh stock one. The stock one is a very good one. Its a 4 point (meaning that it mounts to the fire wall as well for more strength)

And for your info you pop 2 plastic tabs by the wipers off to get to the 4 other bolts that hold the back half of the strut bar on

What are you talking about 4 metal clips for the struts?

the 2 points of the strut bar where it connects to the frame bellow the windshield wipers. each bar has 2 metal circle clips connected to the frame. so i guess i had to remove the 2 plastic clip by the windshield wiper in order to remove the other half of the strut bar. right?
btw - thanks for the info, makes it alot easier without having to take out the stock struts thanks guys!

those are teh other ends of a bolt. they are welded inplace. Yes you have to remove teh plastic covers by the windshield wipers to get to the bolts. Why are you gong to remove it

Review of Struts

at first i thought it wouldnt make that much of a difference but then drove it around ..canyons.. and stuff it really helps alot! it helped my issue of tire rubbing in the front too! it doesnt rub at all anymore only when i take really hard turns. unlike before i always rubbed off a little'ol turn. i was really happy about that. and it feeels stiffer too. so i highly recommend neuspeed strut bars.
