Both my front tires have bubbles on the side walls thanks to the NYC and Long Island pot holes. I have 4 Conti Extreme (old design) on the car. The back tires still have about 50%. Since the design is so different (used to be rotational, now asymmetrical) can I put 2 new design Conti Extremes on the front and replace the rears later on?

Since they are so different, I wonder what effect this will have.

never ideal to have diff tread tires on the front and back but it really shouldn't be a major issue as long as the different tires are on the front and back and not mix/match left and right...
