Question Lowering question

Picked up some 3rd gen 5 spoke wheels from an 06 TL without tires. I am going to use Tein S springs to lower the car (2.1" front and 1.6" rear) same drop as the Eibach Pro Kit springs I was recommended. I was told to get a set of 235/45/17 tires but will I have room between the fender walls and the tires?

235/45/17 is the stock 3rd gen TL tire size.

you'll need to properly size your tires according to the 2nd gen specs...
I believe your stock tire specs are 205/60/16

input your stock tire specs into this online tire calculator:
Tire Size Calculator - Tire & Wheel Plus Sizing

which it shows that 235/45/17s are the correct size for your car.

the stock wheel specs for the 3G TL is: 17x8 +45

you then can use this offset calculator to see how much fender and suspension room you have.
1010TIRES.COM - Wheel Offset Calculator

if you need to stretch a tire; play with the tire calculator.
