KYB Rears and Bilstein Fronts?

I just changed my rear shocks on my '99 TL. Living in Snow Country, I don't have the car lowered or anything. I put on KYB GR-2's. I intend to do the front shocks in a few weeks as well. Online, I found Bilsteins (Heavy Duty) for $120 Canadian each. I have read about them by people who have used them in lowering their rides, and realize they are worthy shocks. They would cost me $25 Canadian each OVER the price of matching KYB's for the front (so within my budget) . My questions are:

Can I go with these Bilsteins in the front, seeing as my rears are KYB?
Would I require different coils to accomodate the Bilstein Fronts?
Or am I just better off getting matching KYB's for the front?

I'm in Canada and live about 1 mile down a pot-hole filled dirt road, so was thinking these "heavy duties" would suit my purpose well.

Thanks for the advice!

you might experience more understeer. the damping rates of the gr-2 is almost stock. the bilstein is higher. stiff nose and soft rear would increase the understeer from what i remmeber.
i dunno thats just a thought, could be wrong tho.

Interesting....I hadn't really thought about that. Main reasons I was wondering about the Bilsteins is that the price seems pretty good to me, although I'm not exactly sure if they make different models at different prices for the TL.
Also I thought that with the added weight of the engine, it would be feasible to go with a stiffer front end....without affecting the balance too much
thanks for your feedback JMAL
