Like the title says, I've found a set of brand new Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 tires for 490 CAD but this guys has them only in 205-50-17. Has anyone ever run on this size ? I have heard and read some very nice reviews about the yokos, I'm really tempted to get them but I'm wondering if the 205 width will offset the advantage of these tires for its price. What you guys think?

I wouldnt, its too small and will throw off the speedo.

In addition, the tire is too small in diameter. It will make the already-big wheel gaps look even bigger and uglier, unless the car has been lowered considerably.

Its got more side wall and bigger diameter than 225/45/17 that lots of members are running. Just the width is smaller.

I was comparing using the OEM size 215/50/17.

205/50/17 will be smaller in diameter than the OEM size.

225/45/17 24.8" (which not a whole lot run)

You are running a smaller sidewall than what stock is. Like said above, you will have more wheel well gap, throw your speedo off. Get what is closest to stock.
