lowering springs have less coils to carry the car's weight so they are usually made thicker and have higher spring rates. one thing you should notice is that it will be stiffer; and to most that lower, this is probably not a bad thing. normally, the oem stuff is matched to one another and now that you have changed the springs, the shocks will probably suffer and wear out sooner. nose dive when stopping is usually an indicator of worn struts. consequently, the ride quality goes down.
i have eibachs and over 11,000 miles on them. . . LOVE THEM. . no problems yet (crossing my fingers on the shocks) but love the ride. . and it does handle better on the turns. . but with the 19's it seems to take turns alot more agressive and like mike said. the ride is a little harsh but I LOVE IT and u have to pay the price to look good!! so stay stock if u don't want to buy something later on. . or have fun and make ur ride nice
I have the Comptechs on my TL with the 17 inch TSX rims...first of all the car handles much better around corners, but the ride is somewhat stiffer. Nothing extreme, but not like my mom's '02 Avalon (feels like riding on air).
