How much PSI?

Car is 03TL-P

i know the OEM tires required 32PSI in Front and Rears.

I have replaced my OEM tires with different ones and they are one inch wider than the OEM's.

Should I stay with 32PSI or go up to what PSI??

On the tires it should tell you what the max psi it can handle and you'll just have to fill it a lil bit under what the max can hold. Like I fill mines 4 below what the max can hold. Hope that helps you out.

on the tire it say max should be 44PSI
so with what you say I should do 40PSI.

cuz if i put 32PSI then the front looks flat cuz of engine weight.

A good rule of thumb is to fill your tire pressure to 80% of the max PSI rating, see how it drives and then test a couple PSI less and a couple PSI more to see if you like either better.

That is Very Dumb and Dangerous information you just gave out. You do realize that simple driving will raise your psi above Max and can be very dangerous?????

I agree with Kris, keep your psi between 32 and 36 psi, just play around with it in that range and you'll be safe and determine your level for comfort and handling. to Kris's point, that is why you never check or adjust tire pressure after you have been driving..the psi will rise once the tires are heated up. I got a small air compressor from wal mart that runs off cig lighter and I check and add air when needed in the morning when car is in garage and has not been driven for at least a few hours. but, my pressure has been steady for weeks at about 35 psi on 19" tires. I kept my 17" stock size tires right at 33 psi.

yes i agree. you never check tire pressure after you've driven your car or if it's been sitting out in the cold. hot air will increase pressure and vise-versa. i would stay somewhere around 35psi and nothing more.

all tires do "warm-up" but when they do, even if they are over the max rated PSI your fine....thats why it says to check them COLD.....not dangerous just give firmer ride. I run mine 4-6 psi below what's on the tire and I'm happy...

the MAX pressure COLD is whats listed on the tire- and that means at max weight listed too
Reduce the weight- reduce the max allowed pressure
Your TL weighs less than the weight listed on the tire

The tire has built in the safety numbers for heat expansion

Best rule of thumb is listed above. Start out at 80% of max and adjust from there to your liking.

The dealership told me that on a cold tire 32-34 and if you drove it and need to fill up or check it, about 38psi. Once the tire cools off it usually goes down to 33psi. Since I'm cheap and drive to the gas station that still gives free air, I just set it at 38 and fill.

Yes... I agree with this . First week of August I had my yearly MVI done at the dealer. ( Moter Vehicle Inspection , once a year , required by law and be done by certified mechanic ) Tires on my TL-S are the original equipment. Michelin Pilots P215 / 50 R17 'S . Max PSI rating on these tires is 41. Mechanic set ALL 4 tires at 38.5 PSI . Now , you can very a few pounds either way if you want. Oh, I bought one of those digital readout tire gages. Far better than the old kind. A lot easier to read.
