Help!!! Buying Rims... Will it fit???

Help me please. Looking to buy some Volk LE37T for $1k. Only problem is I don't know if it will fit. Size is 18X7.5 5X114.3 Offset 40mm. I'm just not sure if the Offset of 40 mm will fit. Can anyone out there help me out here? Thanks!!!

Got a 2003 Acura TL Type-S

I roll 19x8 with a 40 offset. You WILL have to cut the bumper tabs and probably roll the fenders. Its worth it tho, there is a reason I have only seen 1 other 2nd gen TL on TSW Thruxtons.

^ It will be a very tight fit ... as someone has already mentioned, you will definitely need to modify the body for it not to rub (ie cut plastic tabs + roll fenders). If you are riding on a stock suspension, a 7.5" rim with a +40 offset will cause rubbing on bumps / people sitting in the back for sure.

Consider OEM fitment: 6.5" rim with +55 offset ... you've increased width of a rim by 1" - 25 mm as well as lowered offset by 15 mm = total of 40 mm (1.6") for the rim to "stick out" compared to the original fitment. Take a look at your car now if you have OEM rims on and measure outwards. See when the car hits a bump where the tire will rub up against that of the fender parts.

For $1k ... that's a great price for Volk rims. Be sure to get 225/40/18 size tires to minimize risk of rubbing if you want to go that route. Personally, I would try and find rims with a better offset.

Thanks everybody, I won't even do it. It's already bad enough that I tighten up my butt cheeks on huge bumps, with my stocks.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Damn, tho. Volk LE37's.... Limited Edition Gunmetal, perfect match for my car color.

I honestly dont know how. My 18x8+50s are flush with the front wheel well. When i tried a +38 once there was no fender rolling on earth that would have made them fit.

the best thing to do is test fit... i have 18x8 +38 Work VS-XX on the fronts right now... i don't think they are flush with the fenders... i'm going with a 5 or 10mm spacer... i tried a 15 and it was just a little to much.... then again i'm on tein replacement springs and i have camber... from what i have heard, with every degree of camber equals another 11mm of offset you can go down...

^ That's explains it ... you want negative camber ... that means you will go through tires every 10,000 miles (or less). You might as well get better fitting rims instead of eating through tires that quickly. You'll save money in the long run (< 1 yr).

Did I also mention reduced stability when the treads go down to the wear bars, especially in the wet?

You dont think?? all you have to do is look and you can see if your flush or not.
