Thumbs up Fulken ze512 or Fuzion ZRi for Summer Tires

Hi everyone,

For Summer tires. My choises are limited to Fulken ze512 or Fuzion ZRi for my TLS.
I thinks both are good tires but the tread life of Fuzion is not as good as Fulken.

Anyone has used them? Please give me some idea

Thanks

KK

I would go for fuzion zri. The 512's are great, but its more of a budget tire. Ive read many great reviews on zri on s2ki. The only bad part about the fuzion is that the contact patch is only 6.9

summer means u want summer tires

512 is all season and only gives all season performance, if u want sth real u should get summer only tires

Acturally, I had a set of snow, so I would get the set for summer. 512 is a budget tires but it has a very good review from Consumer Report and some tires sites ie:tires and tread, 1010 tires... etc. ZRi has only good review in tire sites.
I just wondering if they are both made in JAPAN or the ZRi made in USA by firestone?
Any idea

I have the Falken 512s on my CL now on 18 ronjon wheels and they're great for me, and I drive my car hard. I've done driving schools and autocross with them and they've provided plenty of grip and are holding up pretty well. THey are also very good in the wet weather.

I'm coming to the Toronto meet on April 9th. I can bring them out to ya if you are going; this way, you won't have to pay shipping charges. 600 delivered. If not, it's cool. Just offering.

I run Falken 512s in summer. For my 2 cents, EXCELLENT as Canadian summer tyres.
Got them from TireTrends.com. Very quiet and great road holding. They feel lighter than stock. One of mine disagreed with an empty glass bottle - and got gashed (a bit too easily, I thought).

The Falkens are not for our cars. I have a friend that owns a tire shop and he claims that the 512 is more of a budget tire for cars with not a lot of horsepower that don't get abused or don't have the capability as a higher-performance car. If you have a TL-S, you need a nice sticky tire that have a high speed-rating.

The ZRi is a summer tire so obviously it's a better pick than the 512. What about the Yokohama ES100, Toyo T1-S, or Nitto 555? Those are far better summer tires. I'd go with the ES100, it's not that expensive compared to the other two and it has great summer capabilities.

Yes you are right! I have checked thI got the ZRi, It is such a good deal! Will install next week. I found that the ZRi is in W rate= 270km/h max. but the 512 is in V rate=240 km/h.
That why I go for ZRi. I also know that the OEM are in V rate only.

Umm you're not going to be going 150+ mph anyways. The car will shut itself down at that point. V Rated is fine. The 512s are decnt tires. I have them and one of few people who actually push their tires on a race course and they stick.

our cars cannot go past 240km anyways

actually a higher speed rating do have some setoffs....it's a lot noiser due to the harder compound

I agree, our car can not go over 240km/h but I would go over provide the tires proformance for my car. The higher rate means it has to be good enough for that situation. I am using the 512 for my wife's car. it is very stick. but I found it has some noice before it stop in the traffic light. The main point is, it is all season not summer.

what car is it? check ur pressure

if the pressure if right then check if they are balanced, it might be having a bubble or sth due to a pothole
