I have two choices for my 2nd gen. Tl droped on H&R sports
1.17X8+43
2.17X7+45
I am wanting it to fit flush with fenders Which one is better. Which one would fit. I am filling to roll fenders and cut tabs

both of those are good offsets...if u want to be sure i would stick with the
17x7+45 to be safe..the first ones whould work too but if ur willin to roll and cut then go with #1....

I read most of this thread already and I wanted to make sure these would fit.
Tenzo GF-7
Size: 18x7.5
Offset: 42
Tire: 225/40/18
I will be dropped on H&R Sport (50103) & Tokico HP. From what I've read I may need to cut tabs, but I shouldn't run into major problems.
I think they'd look really nice on my black TL.
Thanks in advance!

ok, so I have almost read every page in this sticky about rim and tire fitting (I now have a major headache!! lol) any wayz, I am thinking about 18x7(.5) or 19x7(.5) rims with a 45 offset with 225/35's I am eventually gonna drop it a lil bit with SS techs and some basic shocks and struts (I don't want to lose my luxury, but want a better profile and tighter handles) would those numbers work well? maybe a higher offset? I honestly never knew how much was involved in this, but I definitely want to do my car properly while having it look tits. Any input would be great, I kind of got lost in the vortex of posts!!!

with either of those widths and offsets ur fine...with an 18 ur goin to have more rubber(225/40/18) which= more of a comfy ride compared to the 19
(225/35/19)....

thats what i was thinking but many members told me it would fit.. it would be an aggressive setup and i'd have to roll fenders and cut tabs. 19x8 +26 it would stick out like crazy no? so whats the lowest offset we can go with 8"? i have the a-specs right now which are 18x8 +45

how well do those fit? I guess it all depends on how you want it to look. to me I like the clean look, wheels just under the well, I am concerned about buying wheels as well cuz I had a toyota b4 and they are a little easier to mess with

Car: 03 TL-S - not currently lowered, but will eventually be lowered a little (around and inch)
Rims: 18x7
Offset 40
I belive these would work, but want confirmation. Also, what width should I go with? 215 or 225?
Thanks

a +40 is on the edge of needing fenders rolled, but with a 215 tire and cut tabs you should be in the clear.

Wheel & tire size for winter
Hey Guys
I was wondering if someone can help me out since im torn, i have 03 TLS, and im planning on getting winter tires this year and i checked tirerack and they said i can get 16" snow tires on steel wheels and they guranteed they will fit.
If anyone can tell me if this is true, and that 16" steel wheels wont conflict with TLS brake calipers on '03? If not im planning to go with Michelin Xice Xi2 on stock TLS rims
Thanks guys

Hi everybody, I really need your help please !!!
this if my first post, I have read through pages but couldn't find thing I need,
Mine is 99 TL premium, currently I am running 226/60/16 (on stock rim) so far no problem, the gap between front tire and shock (not sure it call shock or something ) about finger thickness or ~1/2''
I would like to ask
It will work if I put 2006 TL rim with tire 225/50/17 on my 99 TL ?
currenlty 16 x 6.5 +55 tire size 225/60/16 (work good)
will any rubbing when replace with 17 x 8 +45 tire size 225 /50 /17 ?
thank so much !!!

you should be fine with that size on ur 99...a lot of other members have been using that setup...i personally went with the 04-05 17" TSX wheels...

With those wheels, i would go with either 225/45/17 or original tire size for it (235/40/17?).
Would it rub or not? You have a higher chance of rubbing if you're lowered, but you'll be fine though.

You will have to roll fenders, cut tabs, and run the proper tire size. Some camber may be needed as well.
