For the longest time I was against getting springs for my 03 TL-P. After talking to a couple of friends on the board I have been persuaded otherwise. The sacrifice in ride comfort was my primary reason for not getting them. After some research I think the H&R OE's or the Tein H-Tech's give me what I'm looking for as far as less wheel gap and better handling. My request is your driving impressions of each. Such as, was the ride much more harsh, did you feel the cars handling improved much if at all, and what is the drop provided to you by the springs? Thank you for your time and help.

P.S. I plan on sticking with my TL-P shocks. Should I be okay?

I've searched and I saw you incessantly suggest the H&Rs. I have no doubt they are good. Old boy Pure was hawking them too me just as well. I"m a German too, so naturally, I'm inclined to trust them . By H&R do you mean OE's or are you suggesting the sport springs(in accordance to my taste)?

By the way...thanks for your help. It is quite obvious you are still on the board for others and not yourself. I appreciate it.

i have the h&r oe springs and i love them! i'm still riding on my stock shocks which are still good. the ride is perfect with this setup. i'm not sure i would buy aftermarket shocks when these go out yet, so we'll see...
good luck with your decision,
peter =)

How much did they drop your car, if at all? Do they provide a firmer ride than OEM setup?

i think .75" in the front and 1" in the back. definitely firmer ride and better handling with the springs. you'll definitely love the ride and for sure love the new look!

I'm looking for less than more of a drop and less of a stiff ride, rather I am looking for softer springs. If that helps anyone give more accurate advice. Thanks guys.

Accoridng to Tein...the H-Tech drop is 1inch...I wonder how that is balanced out...1 inch in both front and back or like .75 front and 1.25 back if that makes any sense??

Anybody have an opinion on which ride is more friendly(H&R OE vs. Tein H-Tech)?

oops. you're right. that is the drop =)

also, to clarify. i said that it is a firmer ride. by no means, did i mean a much stiffer ride. it is definitely still very comfortable to ride in, even with my 19's.

good luck deciding,
peter.

Petrie1997,

Did your H&R OE drop come out even? I read in other threads that the rear is sometimes uneven.
