Anyone ever get their stock TL rims coated into a different color? There is this guy at this Performance tires place and he offered rim coating. He charges $40 to coat the rims into any color. He has bronze/black/white/red/blue.

not trying to steal thread im just curious to learn.....whats the difference between powdercoating and just painting???....does anyone in jersey powder coat our stock rims for a reasonable price??

if it is powder coating that is a really good deal. I got quoted 60+/wheel to powder coat.

Powdercoat would be the way to go. Avoid the painted route as this method is not as durable compared to powercoating. Good luck.

powder coating is much more durable. Its sprayed on as a powder then baked at around 400 deg. when dry its alot stronger than paint

There's gotta be a handful of shops in SoCal that do powdercoating. Check the yellow pages in your area.
