cheap drop
I just want to drop the front of my 2000 TL an inch or 1.5. What's the least I can get away with spending? This is more for looks than performance, so I don't need adjustable air shocks. Can I replace just the springs? Any recommendations? You guys rock!!
yes you absolutely simply replace the springs and drop it...ebay has some coilover sleeve spring kits for about $50 and it'll do the job.
but. you will bottom out everywhere, the springs will rust/change stiffness, blow your already-old and prone-to-blow shocks...specially when lowered... and who knows, maybe the springs will break.
the cheapest GOOD springs i've seen are the TEIN on ebay but those have ~ 2"f/1.5"r, Spend a little more and get eibac or H&R sport #50103 (my favorite @ 1.75/1.5) and its a good idea to get new shocks. DO NOT GET KYB GR-2 nor cheap Monroe Sensatrack they are crap...word of experience
