I've heard they're pretty much the same as OEM...not softer or stiffer.

KYB GR2 are actually not bad. I've driven an 01 Prelude with KYB + Tein S tech, and they feel better than OEM.

For the price I'd say they're a good buy. (I don't know how much OEM shocks cost, but if I were looking for OEM replacements, I'd get the KYB's over OEM.)

I'm in the market for aftermarket shocks and springs too.

Looking at Tokico Blues and Tein H Tech right now. But yah, the price of KYB is super tempting.

Would much rather spend the money and get full adjustable coilovers. tein basics run about 650

aznbeayst,

I just ordered a new set of KYB GR2's to replace my OEM shocks. After talking with a few friends, I decided to go with basic shock replacements instead of getting "sports car type" shocks. Friends convinced me that although a TL-S is sporty, it will never handle the same as a true sports car.

I also got a great deal on a set of Tanabe Sustec NF210 springs. I plan to put up a full post reviewing the products with pictures of products and installation.

I live close to Mr.Heeltoes shop, so I'll most likely get them installed there.

Stay tuned; they should be in by the end of this month or early April.

you should also consider Tokico Illumina....adjust it to the softest setting for the comfort feel...which is me right now /w H&R sports!

I got gr-2's with H&R sport springs and it pretty much rides like stock. KYB is good for the price.

Where were you able to get all four for $180? Could you PM me the source?

So far the cheapest I found is tire rack for $240. That's without shipping.

Let me know! Thanks
