Would 20x8.5 wheels with tires size 255/35ZR20 rub on my 02 TL?

they can fit. Its not a popular thing on these boards to put 20s on our cars. Im all for it if thats what you want.

What is the offset of the wheels that plays a big part in how they fit. I think they should have about a 40-43 offset

not sure on tire size. search the forum. there was a guy with an ABP TL-S with 20 inch foose wheels and his shit was slammed. thats who you should seek out to talk too

 

Having wheels that big and wide might be an issue without rolling your fenders a lot and cutting tabs. If you can find someone to help you with that go for it.

HOWEVER, those rims are straight up HIDEOUS and should not be put on a TL. I could say that's simply my opinion, but I'm sure most members would agree.

 

^^ I agree about the rim choice but we are not paying for them so who gives a rats ass what we really think. its ok to ask but if they are what you want then dont let us talk you out of them.

20x8.5 on 255 tires?? No. Try a 225 tire, and just hope that offset is about +45, better if closer to 50. Not gonna fit willingly, and will look ridiculous, but to each his own.
