2007 TL Rims

does anyone know what size tire fits on this rim?
im thinking about getting these rims for my 02 tls and im shopping for TIRE prices but im not sure which size should be mounted on the rim.

OEM tire size=235/45/17. You can go a bit beefier and get 245's, but I wouldn't go any bigger than that.

So 235 is the width? or do i have it wrong. whats the difference just a little wider? which ones are more expensive??
