17" 9 spoke TSX rims on a '01 TL? Good match? Price?
I have the opportunity to buy a set of 17" rims from the 2006-08 TSX line.
They are 9 spoke silver painted, brand new in box.
Do you think they would good on a '01 Laguna green (muted grey) TL?
What would a good price be?
Thanks!

Is that your car?
I'd love to see it with just a tad more quality. Could I trouble you to get a little closer? I'd like to see the rim a little sharper and the gap.
THANKS!

Wow, I didn't think it would be that noticeable!
I wonder why it stands out so much more with those rims. Might it be that the diameter of the tires are a bit smaller?
I'll have to look at mine again after work and see if it looks this way with the standard 16" diamond etched rims.

the problem is that you're used to seeing it on the TSX which is just naturally lower than the 2G. your eyes aren't accustom and it looks off. if you're staying stock height, just get TL-S rims. it'll look the best

they use lower profile tires. theoretically you could get fatter tires but it won't fix the gap.

The stock wheels being 205/60/16 have a height of (16+(2*(205mm*.60)) or 25.6850.
The CLS wheels being 215/50/17 have a height of (17+(2*215mm*60)) or 25.4646.
The CLS wheels are only .22 shorter and when you take into account that they are only .11 less from center, I can't imagine anyone being able to notice that even up close.
Add to that, the effects of the car being slightly lower, there being more silver and less black in general, and that a wider tire would appear to fill the gap just a bit more from any view with perspective, I certainly cant imagine ANYONE being able to notice any more wheel gap.
