I wouldn't subject your child to the horror. Keep the Teins

IDK man, it's hard to say, the F&F's are a nice ride, but everyone's tolerance level is different.

We may be tolerant, but theres no way a newborn is taking a comfortable nap in the back of that car...thats like child abuse! lol

they're not too stiff, they're too soft. Stiffen them 1/4 inch and they wont bounce as much.

Preload should be at zero straight out of the box.

IDK, I can easily rock the rear of my car by hand with my preloads set 1/4 stiffer. If they're too stiff for you why not just soften them up?

i just put type 1's on my 03-p, and have the same problem. was browsing through and thought id give my . been fighting with the preload to try to make up for the difference, and its pretty much impossible. the softer the rear the bouncier, and the stiffer and the rear, it feels like its coming off the ground. ive tightened up the front to where its almost dangerous from "bottoming out" and having no spring travel, and its still a huge difference. go for the type 2's or another fully adjustable. we need dampening adjustments for our cars
