Yellowing of the headlight

Ok I did a search, found lots of threads on taking the yellow piece out of the headlight and how to get condensation out of your headlight. But I am talking about my passenger side headlight is starting to turn a yellowish color like its old as hell or something. I read you can wax it and it will take it off but I tried that and that didnt work. Anyone else have a good idea to try?

so the plastic itself is discoloring? You can try to wetsand then polish it, if that doesnt work you will need to replace it.

It looks like the outer shell is maybe not yellowing but starting to get hazy looking, not perfectly clear like my other headlight. I got the car the extended 100K mile bumper-2-bumper warranty....would a new head light be covered?

Only if the head lights are between the bumpers, if not then it probabaly won't be covered.

You'll need a plastic polish and/or compound. Try using Meguiar's Plast-X. I use it on my headlights and works fairly well. You'll just need a little elbow grease.

Nice...I'll try it and also there is a great explanation on the board about wetsanding and polishing to make them look brand new again....check it out!
