Worn/Blown shock???

So, for about a month now i've been having this knocking sound in my rear driver side which only appeared whenever i would 3 wheel over places. it eventually progressed to appearing, not only at the 3 wheeling point, but as well as a few more feet driving when all 4 wheels are planted.

Yesterday, I went to Yum Yum donuts and three wheeled their entrance and the knocking noise continued until i parked. The knocking even continued when I left.

Today, i looked under the car and my sway bushings look fine, nothing seems to be loose.

My question is as the title states. I opened my trunk and bounced both sides, and it seems that my rear driver side has more play/bounce to it than my passenger side. I'm on FF1's

the vibration in the video is my phone, but you can hear the knocking really well, i tried imitating road movement at the end, but the noise didn't show.

With a lowered suspension, the original shocks take a hammering. If it bounces, chances are you're due for new ones. There are some other things besides the shocks and sway bar bushings that could cause a "knocking" sound from the rear suspension.

There's other parts that could be worn or damaged such as the control arm, leading arm and trailing arm. Check all of these things for potential damage incurred during three wheeling while at Yum's.

sway bar END LINKS ckd? use MOOG brand to replace if broken

look at shock for line of oil coming down from its weep hole or top seal
thats blown seal indicator

bounce corner of car 4 times at let go
does it stop in less than 1.5 bounces? or act mushy?

Sway bar mount bushings and bad links will make it sound like its a bad strut. Even a bad upper ball joint will make a similar sound. i thought the same recently on my car but when i put it on the lift at my job i find out its my ingalls upper balljoints.. i also recently did my links and mount bushings because they also had play. moog is the way to go.

just as i suspected, it is my shock

oil was found pretty much all over the shock itself, and my passenger side was as clean as a whistle.

looks like imma be calling Function&Form pretty soon to claim my warranty

and my sway bar end links were perfectly fine, as i said in my original post, my sway bar bushings were fine, no play at all.

thanks for ur input guys

good news! ask if they can ship you a shock without the old one- send a pic!

we mention the end links because they are common failure

you only stated bushings- which technically, are the 2 center pieces on the bar near its center
