Red face Windshield Wipers going crazy

hi everyone, I have 99 tl and im having problems with my wipers. When i use them while its raining the drivers side wiper goes too far and hits the left pillar, then hits the plastic at the bottom when it comes down. I'm very lost at how this could happen. I would try to adjust them but if its hitting on both sides i don't see what it would change. Any suggestions?

you need to replace the metal arms on the wiper motor assembly. It's easy! You can order them online from an Acura Dealer. About $50.00 shipped. They are located under plastic cover. Do a search here. There are many posts. The arms pull off and the new ones will snap right on. Be sure you look at how they are positioned when you take them off so that you install the new ones the same way. There are plastic caps that wear out on the assembly. A really terrible design that Honda has used for way too long. I have replaced them on all 3 of my Honda products.

The search feature isn't working or I'd look up a link for you. Send me a message if you need help! I'll respond and you can call me if you like.

same problem here. wanna save some money just go to pull yourself JY and pull then off any honda/acura with similar year model. should be cheap fix. I got 4 or 5 of those for extra. it will fail again but cheap alternative. JY didn't charge me, put new grease on them to help extent its life. by the way don't get the whole arm. just get plastic cap. should cost next to nothing.

I've got the same annoying issue on my 99 TL. Thanks for the tips. I didn't realize it was that simple to address.

Lots of misinformation on this site. You can't just get the caps. They don't sell them separately to my knowledge. I asked the dealership that question before.

I had to replace the same parts and it worked. The issue is the plastic gets stripped.
