Windshield wipers

I have a 00 TL and the passenger side windshield wiper nut/bolt always comes loose and makes the wiper arm get trapped under the hood of the car. Has anyone else ever had this issue before? If so how do you fix it? I always have to tighten it up every time it rains.

The wiper arm may be worn or stretched where it goes over the wiper pivot. You could try using a washer under the nut which might let the pivot pull deeper into the arm. Try an 8mm washer, but you might have to center a 10mm washer over the stud to allow the pivot to pull deeper into the arm. If not, replace the arm.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! The nut is loosening up every time I use the wiper. I tighten it like a mothereffer, then its loose again after 5 mins of usage. I noticed that the nut is alil stripped now also, I will try a new nut and see if it works.
