where to read CEL codes?

How are people getting the CEL codes? I've got the list of what they mean once I have it but I don't know how to get the code without taking the $80 hit from the dealer or buying a reader. My other cars give light blinking/flashes that translate but I don't see anything for an '99 Acura.

Your local auto parts store, like AutoZone, Murray's, etc. They will scan it for you for free.

your obd-ii hookup is in the center console between the seat heaters (there is a removeable plastic cover)

thanks guys. Took it to the local AutoZone and it was easier than anticipated. Got what seems to be the typical fault (at least for this forum) of the EGR not working.

Looking forward to a Saturday afternoon tear-down and clean-up....and returned performance.
