Power locks will unlock but not lock

HAs anyone ever experienced this problem:
The power locks will unlock from the remote or inside the vehicle but they will not unlock by the remote or even the uncock switch inside the car. The trunk relase will not work either (already checked switch in glovebox) and I wonder if it anything to do with the locks.

Any suggestions?

I think I might need to change the multiplex unit on my 03 TL becuase none of the doors will lock from neither the switch nor the remote. I can unlock all of them but not lock them.

Does anyone know where the multiplex is loctaed, what does it look like and how do you change it

yes as a matter of fact i do...remove the glove box and look on the back of the fuse panel and you will see a white (i think) plastic box attached to the back of the fuse panel and carefully remove the four plastic retainer clips and gently pull on it so you dont break anything then reverse is installation...its very easy

if it has to do with the door locks, its the box above the fuse panel on the passenger side of your car. you'll have to remove the glove compartment panel to access it.

Don't forget the door multiplexer unit sitting right undernearth the window switch panel inside the driver's door. Driver door lock and unlock signals go to this door multiplexer unit first before being send off to the driver side multiplexer unit located at the driver side fuse box.

Intead of having hundreds and hundreds of wires going everywhere inside the car, some related signals are multiplexed together inside a multiplexer unit. Multiple multiplexer units talk to one another throught just a single communication wire. This way the wiring complexity is greatly reduced.

Inside the TL, there are a total of three multiplexer (mux) units. The door mux unit is located inside the driver's door directly undernearth the window switches. The driver side mux unit is sitting on top of the driver side fuse box. The passenger side mux unit is sitting on top of the passenger side fuse box.

The driver door lock/unlock signals go to the door mux unit. The passenger door lock/unlock signals and keyless security system signals all go to the passenger side mux unit.
