Not really a problem and not causing anyissues but I just noticed this empty port by the top of my tranny, any idea what it is?

 

It's not empty, as it has a cap on the connector. However, it should be clipped to a bracket somewhere near there. If I recall correctly, it's kind of a "wire splitter" in the sense that one pin supplies ground which then gets splits out to several ground wires.
