FPR question
However, if your car is diagnosed as having 'heat soak' issues, as outlined in the second attachment, then yes, you should have the ECU replaced or reprogramed, as 01acls mentioned in your other thread in 2016.
Here i'll save you some time.
Check your fuel pressure regulator and see if it's Black Dot type. If not, replace with one that is.
If the car starts when engine is hot after a short stop after installing the black dot FPR, then you'll found the problem... Heatsoak.
The car is going to run rich at startup, rough idling when engine is still cold and warming up. You can live with it as is if it doesn't bother you or you can upgrade the ECM to match the FPR so the car runs as designed.
To upgrade the ECM it'll cost you $700-$1500 depending on emissions or non-emissions... new. The work around is to upgrade with a use 2001 ECM for less yhan a $100.
However, you will need to code the new ECM to ALL your keys and has to be done by the Dealership $200--$300.
