as some of you know i had my trans replaces a lil over two weeks ago, everything was fine, took it easy for about 500 miles, but last night i got a lil heated when some mazdaspeed3 tried to take me on an entrance ramp on the highway, i pushed it over into ss and dropped the gear and took off, well it was a pretty sharp turn and as the revs climbed to about 4-5k the car started acting like it was hitting a rev limiter? i know it sounds weird but thats the best way i can explain it, at first i thought maybe it was the vsa but the light didnt flash...i dont know, i took it in this morning so im stuck driving a tsx..im really beginning to hate the damn tsx...and now im beginnig to think about trading my car on a new tl or a cl with a 6 speed...any input would be appreciated..

 

Did you try doing it again to see if it did it more or did it just happen that one time?

 

4800rpm is VTEC for the TL-S, that almost sounds like a VTEC problem but surely that would throw a code. Low oil level will cause VTEC to not engage - have you checked your oil lately?

The only thing I can think of otherwise is that it was VSA but that it worked so quickly the light didn't come on. Sometimes I feel my car's TCS engage briefly but no light flash.

 

its happened twice but only when pushing it around curves...and i mean PUSHING it haha..checked oil, was fine...

 

Sounds like VSA to me, then. I guess we will see when the dealer reports back. Let us know.

 

acura just called, they said the speed sensor on the trans was loose...sound posible? i dont trust those Fu****s

 

I'm pretty sure if that were true, the car would have thrown a code. That sounds like BS to me.

 

just picked up the car, havent had a chance to see if it does it again, ill test it later tonight and see if it does it again..im thinking they are just bsing me but we'll find out soon enough
