There are unit to unit variations and it may be that your particular player won't play any CD-Rs. The OEM single disc head units installed in the 1999-2001 TLs are notorious for this.

But other members have posted what works for them. Try a forum search for "burned". But the caution is that what worked for someone else may not work for you.

And that may not work for him like bob_f said. Every unit is different. Mine no matter what brand or speed or software wouldnt play.

Your best bet is to either buy a 02-03 Headunit or get a aftermarket headunit.

don't waste your $ on trying different CD-R. Best is to buy an iPod and use the cassette adapter. I tried the Monster FM transmitter and the sound quality sucks. It sounds great on a Sony tape adapter.

Thats not the best bet. The best is an ipod adapter to plug into the back of the HU. It will sound better and some give control of the ipod from the steering and dash controls.

Good to know. Thanks
What type of ipod adapter and where can I buy it?
Where can I find the instruction on "how to remove the HU"?

thanks again.

Correction: They might work. What works in one TL player might not work in another. When it come to playing burned CDs, there are unit to unit variations.

And your next batch of TDK CD-Rs may not work as the the CDs themselves can change from batch to batch.
