weird stall

hi

2000 acura tl, 89,000 miles has had water damage

car runs perfectly except (intermittent fault) sometimes will
stall as soon as driven out of driveway.

observations

if idle car 90 seconds will never happen.
no code of course.
acura replaced map sensor $ 300 and was not the problem.
checked all electrical contacts that affect ignition, none bad.
pumping gas pedal seems to help in bringing car out of stall.
cleaned egr valve.
does not appear to be a function of engine being cold or warm.

acura has stated that they cannot fix car. (due to no code)
want a blank check, would not do so.

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
greg

Unfortnately, Greg, you may be in for a long hard ride.

How extensive was the water damage? What specifically was the water damage? Inside the car, engine, what? If it got into your car it is very possible it has rusted out the ECU and it is going to eventually get worse.

I fear that you may have many headaches due to this. Water damage is horrible. Many people have problem after problem with this.

On a lighter note, it may be entirely unrelated to the water damage. Maybe

Did the car have this issue before or after the water damage. Tracking down this type of problem can be very hard, especially with no code. I would start by unplugging every connection under the hood and making sure they are clean and dry and maybe apply some dielectric grease to all connections. Was there water damage inside and to the fuse panels?

Clean out your TB and IAC,
