Unhappy Weird Problems with D4 light

well first of all my car wouldnt start, so i thought it was the battery. i got that changed out and then the car still wouldnt start so the guy at advance auto parts told me it was the starter...so i had it towed to some rinky dink shop and got him to change out my starter...then the check engine light came on and the D4 light blinks whenever i start my car....and its so slow to pick up like its stuck in another gear...does anyone know why this is happening??? this is gonna be one hell of a christmas.

Get the codes scanned. Most auto parts stores do it for free

Oh wow. How many miles? I was trying to reset the ECU by pulling the fuse in the drivers kick panel and when I started the car with the fuse out, the D4 light would flash. It stopped when i put it back in.

You cant reset the ECU from the drivers side. Its on the passenger side. Its the clock backup fuse.

And why would you try to start the car with the fuse removed

It wasn't because your a loyal customer. Recent legal issues with Honda on the tranny problems on 2000 TL's have made it so that your covered up till 105K miles I believe. The dealership costs are covered. By the way how many miles does TL have on it when it happened?
