Weird issue with keyless entry

Recently I've been having some issues with my keyless entry. I have the factory remote with no alarm installed (only the factory one) and i've noticed sometimes that the remote does not unlock or lock the doors when pressing the lock/unlock buttons. however, the light on the remote does light up when the buttons are being pressed. I also noticed that when I am having this problem if I hold the trunk button to open the trunk the door will lock and unlock fine right after. Im not sure if it's the remote itself or something else.

Anybody else have/had this problem?

sounds like the trunk sensor isnt telling it that its closed. The doors dont lock when the trunk is open (at least they didnt on my 2000)

Kind of random, but the car also knows when the hood is open. The display under the speedometer doesn't indicate it, but the car won't make the *beep* noise when you lock it twice via remote.

I'm having a similar issue with my 2000 TL. I'm assuming my transmitter works as the red light indicator works and all the doors except the driver's side door lock and unlock. Does this mean my driver's side door lock acuator is not working? If so, can you point me in the right direction to DIY?
