Weird dead battery issue.

ok so yesterday i removed the #6 fuse from the drivers side fuse box. (the ecu/cruise control fuse.) i removed it for toubleshooting issues due to another problem. now, the fuse has been out for 24 hours and i just put it back in. and just when i was about turn the key in the ignition, found out the battery is died over night. WTF??? i didnt have any battery issues till now. could that fuse of messed something up like keep a relay on all night???

any ideas?

that does seem odd to me....is your battery the original battery?

i can't imagine that pulling that fuse would keep something else constantly energize, unless it's tied to the factory alarm somehow.

the car stayed quite this whole time. no lights flashing or siren goin off so i dont think it was the alarm, unless it was something that didnt trigger the alarm.

i dont think its original. the indicator is green.

this is a head burner. i dunno.

you had to have left something on or there was some type of drain somewhere, b/c a battery shouldn't not start overnight

a 99, I am guessing its on its 2nd battery and ready for number 3
If you are chasing a mystery problem- it may have been from bad battery
Amazing what a new one will fix and make car run way better too

Most parts stores will charge your battery and test it for free

wierd stuff can happen all the time man. i used to have a taurus SHO, one day the car was fine, the next i'm coming home from college and the temperature gauge starts going up. i pull over to check the coolant and the car wouldn't start again. turns out the battery cables were internally corroded, but i never had any sign of problems until the day i was stranded on the saw mill parkway in yonkers.
