Weird car problem

I have a 2000 3.2TL, I have a problem where when I start the car it cranks and turns on but shuts off right away, now if I turn on the car and push the gas pedal down then it will stay on but the engine will shake really hard and bad (happens randomly but most time it starts normal). I had someone pull some codes and it came up with cylinder 1 misfire and o2 sensor. I took it to another shop and they checked with a different computer and he said its the o2 sensor so we changed it (dealership parts) and now I notice the car will start properly but the engine will still shake hard but not as bad as before. What is the problem ?

electrical problem maybe? when I was working on my system I had the exact same thing happen. Turns out it was a loose main power wire and ground wire. I think it is a safety mechanism when the ECU senses some sort of issue

I read over a bunch of threads and people had similar problem and it ended up being the coils. Will tell my mechanic to check cylinder 1 as he thought cylinder 1 is the front one.

I started my engine and it started to shake pretty bad and the check engine and TCS lights came on. I brought it to a mechanic and it came up with a Idle Air Control System code. He didnt have time to do it today and told me to come back on Monday. How much is it to replace with/without labor ?

The IAC is on the bottem of the TB assembly - with a few basic tools you can do the job yourself. Its remove cover plate- clean disc with carb cleaner and reassemble
Stop using the gas pedal to make it start- fix the problem

I would start with a coil failure -
Cyl #1 is the rear passenger side--rear is 123 front 456 as you stand in front of the car looking at the engine
Find a HONDA-Acura private shop or import specialty or speed shop to check it out
for you if not a DIY person
The coil failure is common after a plug change or with enough miles
Buy 1 $50 and move from cyl to cyl- reset the ecu each time- numerous threads on this subject
Codes are CLUES not diagnosis- example multi cyl misfire codes are usually 1 bad coil
The tcs and CEL are just master caution lights in this case
O2 sensor was probably due on age, but a bad coil will throw unburned fuel at the cat and O2- fooling them

A real honda/acura tech will know about the problem- not keep installing parts on a guess

If a shop diagnosed and installed the O2 but let it go out the door still messed up- report them and find another shop fast

Any ziners in your area?

It stopped showing the misfire codes since I changed the rear o2 sensor. Now its giving the IACS code.

The thing is that this doesnt happen all the time, its all random times. So if its a bad coil doesnt it do this everytime ?

I am still waiting to see what it actually is. Going to change my spark plugs tomorrow morning and wait a week or so and see if I still have the problem.

I think the key light comes on all the time ? not 100%

The 99s had a problem with the ignition switches. They go out and do exactly what you're experiencing. Replace the ignition switch and it should fix the problem. There are MANY threads on this exact topic if you want more info. Bottom line, the ignition switch is bad, replace it.

It's the electrical ignition switch that mounts behind the part you put the key in.

No problem. As for the parts you're looking for, keep an eye on the BlackMarket. There are some good deals to be had once in a while.
