I was wondering if there are any 3.2 TL owners who have experienced trunk leak problems & water leak around the driver side carpet area. I cant seem to pinpoint the problem but I have replaced my taillights with new gaskets & nothing. I checked the trunk seal lining but it doesnt seem to have any cracks. Could it possibly be drain pipes? & by the way, I find water in the spare tire pit area & the carpet of the trunk.

 

yes,,sounds like the drain tubes are clogged
dont forget the door and sunroof ones while you are fixing the problem

 

Driver side floor leak i have had (passenger side as well)

On the floor under the carpet, There is a rectangular plug (next to the round one) UNDER the sound material that is sprayed on. I had both sides leaking. The rubber-ish material just pealed away with a putty knife, then i just used some silicone on the plastic cap to seal it and when dried i sprayed rubber undercoating to cover the area

I ripped apart my trunk & then threw water over from above the car and down to the trunk and found water sneaking through a plug below the left taillight, inside the trunk. It goes right down to the pit area too. It looks like it needs to be sealed or replaced
