This is from a guy named assclowns car
he just installed a turbo

You see the label beside that orange dipstick pull,
that's the engine code so it will tell you exactly whats up with that engine and where its from.
call acura 1800 number and they can help you too.

cover could be from either car.
but the number should match the car vin or the number acura has as the engine vin for that car
acura 1-800 382 2238 x5

engines can be steam cleaned to look nice for a number of reasons
look at bolt heads for timing covers- look ever touched?

the block VIN should be right above where the starter is.

see in my pic, above the clutch/flywheel there is a green stripe on the top left part. that's the VIN.

they will be blue if the trans has been replaced.

i personally dont care, i'm just gonna double check the VIN on the tranny and see if it matches. it's all going to a junk yard anyway here soon.

Why does it matter if the tranny is original? Know one gives a damn about those

haha i cared because i have 178k on the clock, i've had the car for four years and since 115k and was wondering if my transmission was unique and had lasted that long haha.

my best guess is the tranny went out, the lady fixed it sold the car, bought a lexus and i bought it. all in all i'm still glad i replaced it before i started having problems.
