Very bad day to be me =/

My Acura TL-S has 150k andd I went out to start it yesterday morning. I started it, the engine made a really weird noise, the check engine light came on, the transmission shifter would move to reverse, but it wouldn't actually engage in reverse, and the gas pedal was jammed
help?

-Check the shift cable
-Can the car be shifted into drive or anything else?
-Is the gas pedal jammed down to the floor, or can it not be pressed down?
-Does the car rev up normally? (if you can't depress the gas pedal, use the throttle cable behind the throttle body to do so by hand)

I haven't tried drive yet only because it's parked directly in front of a fence.
The gas pedal can't be pushed down.
I don't know what the throttle body is, my apologies.
How should I check the shift cable/note what things that could be causing this problem?
I'm not this great with cars =/
so bear with me please lol

have a neighbor who knows about cars come look at it for you

Did you replace the timing belt and water pump at 105k miles--or at all before now?
If the timing belt breaks- its serious damage inside the engine- attempting to start it makes it worse~

It wont shift and the gas pedal is wierd- go get some help-
you cannot diagnose or fix this yourself and we cant do it over the internet...sorry

the engine does run.
and it's nothing to do with the transmission anymore because i started it this morning even though i just read i shouldn't be, and it went into reverse, neutral, park, all drive stages just fine. just the check engine light is on, gas pedal is jammed, motor making weird noise and some "motion" under the hood which is like big motion almost like it feels like the engine is moving really fast but its not.

like the engine is moving- as in broken motor mount?
and the gas pedal is jammed? at idle or revved or what- its physically stuck?
Need to look for interior carpet jammed in pedal-
then remove engine plastic cover and check the linkage- some ziners had the cable come off the throttle- lack of lube and crud allowed that to happen

anddddd yes the pedal is physically frozen at idle.

If the engine is making weird noises...you probably should NOT START YOUR CAR again until you have someone knowledgeable check it out, or you may soon be replacing the engine. You could be causing more and more problems internally every time you run the car. So my advice is to be PATIENT, and do not start the car without a mechanic there to diagnose it.

Are you sure ????

Hi Negan :

Are you sure about all this ? Is someone having a few sick laughs at your expense ? Looking at your symptoms, I can't help but notice that the problems are related to very different systems and should not have failed all at once. How could the gas pedal be stuck ? How could the engine start and throw codes at the same time have no transmission fuction ? It just doesn't make sense. Each on there own is "normal" but altogether, I'm skeptical.

Could you have a case of midnight vandals ? I might be calling the cops to investigate.
