Hey guys I am going to change out my front upper ball joints. Is there a way to do this without removing the upper control arms or do they have to be removed? Thanks for the help guys.

 

The UCA is only connected to the Chassis with 2 bolts and easy to remove.... Except idk how it is with OEM suspension because I took mine out while my coilovers were still intact.

Nonetheless you will need a ball joint removal tool that you can rent from autozone, OR if you have airtools you can probably do it while the UCA is connected to the car, but I doubt it.

The UBJ can be replaced while still on the car, with the control arm in place.
It's just a matter of the proper tools.....get a Moog BJ which comes with a grease fitting !!!

 

Good call 3.2TLc. A bungie cord or some thing to tie the UCA up out of the way might be help full.
