Two Problems with 2003 TL - Please Help

I live in New York and just purchased a 2003 Acura TL 3.2 form a neighbor. When I went to get the vehicle inspected (NY State Inspection) the mechanic said it would not pass because the OBD Monitor Readiness Status read as follows:
Catalyst: Not Ready
Evaporative System: Not Ready
Oxygen Sensor: Not Ready
EGR System: Not Ready

He requested we drive the car for 500 Miles and then he checked it again – Same Thing! He does not know what the problem is! Any Ideas????

Also, using the key opens and locks the left or right door but using the procedure to lock and unlock all of the doors (turn the key and hold it) does not work! It only locks or unlocks that door. With the engine on the switch on the drivers door will lock or unlock all of the doors. Do you have any Idea where I can start looking to solve this issue?

My Wife loves the car; any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for reading this!

Start by cleaning out the EGR port.

Spiro -

Thanks for the reply! I will definatly do as you suggest but would that not just cause the OBDII to trigger an event associated with the EGR? Why would that cause the OBDII to say "Not Ready" for ALL of the statuses even after driving in excess of 800 miles?

Did he tell you that you have any pending codes? it is strange that he said I/M is not ready but has no codes. For that many problems you listed, it could just be the catalyst converter or o2 sensor. Have him test the o2 live data voltage, and if it was good, then more likely you have problem with cat converter.

Any problem with the car running?

Acutee - Thanks - Car runs GREAT! No Codes were generated - printout just says "Not Ready"! Could the proble be the ECU itself?

Try seafoam treatment.

No codes, that is why he is asking you to run another 500 miles or so to see if the codes show. I am clueless. The problem list you have must generate a code but it doesn't. I guess it is either EGR or EVAP now. If you have leaks, then car wouldn't run smoothly.
