Trying to change my own tranny fluid

I have a question concerning the ATF filling point on my 2003 TL-S. The service manual shows a simple bolt for the filler plug, but my trans seems to have a tube running into that bolt. This tube piggybacks off of the line that runs from the trans filter to the back of the trans. Any advice on how to add fluid without disturbing this system or getting fluid all over the engine bay? If I must remove this tube what are the torque specs for the little retainer bolt (red arrow)?

Also, is this the "fix" for the transmission recall issue. This would explain why it isn't in the service manual?

If yours have the Jet Kit Installed then pull the 12mm bolt and pull out the round cover and then fill up with fluid.

You mean the little bolt with the red arrow (check my second link)? Then just fill through the little hole in what would normally be the plug?

Look for a bolt that has ATF printed on the top of it- directly down from the vac line we use to put seafoam in the intake! Driver side- midway down the fender length- look at the top of the transmission

either remove the oil jet, where the manual said the filler plug was, or fill it through the dipstick hole. either way will work, and whatever you think it will be easy for you.
