Trunk won't open

Hi new to Acura community- 2002 TL-S suddenly trunk will not open with key fob or with button on drivers door panel. When I hit key fob I hear click in glove box but it doesn't activate trunk release. Thinking maybe fuse? No click in fuse box when door button is depressed. I can't access emergency release through back seat access due to amp being mounted in this area on trunk Any help appreciated thanks Bob from Indy

Welcome
You might still have chance through the subwoofer, you will need to pry the panel that has the BOSE logo and unscrew 4 fasteners that hold the sub.
Hey this might be good security for your sound system.

Wow... remount your amp dude, you should have thought about this before installing it there on a car that has no key access for it outside.

I had this problem also, the solenoid for the trunk release is definitely broken and NEEDS to be REPLACED. The fuse is not out. Just to remind you, there are 2 emergency releases for our car: 1 above the latch itself, and 1 above the opening along the passenger back, if you can't access either... ur pretty fucked.

Have you tried removing the passenger seats?

This is what you need. It's an easy install.
